To the observer Reiki looks very much like a massage or touch therapy but Reiki does not require touch. A Reiki practitioner places their hands on or above the participant's body from head to toe in various positions. The Reiki energy passes through the practitioner and into the participant's body.

Reiki treatments generally last for 60 minutes, although sometimes longer a treatment will be required depending on the individual need of the client. Your first appointment will usually last around 90 minutes as it will include a comprehensive consultation which will cover lifestyle, medication and medical history to establish your current state of health and determine how treatment will proceed. 

A Reiki treatment may bring up emotions or memories of past experiences which may have been forgotten. This is part of the healing process and allows release and growth. Many clients fall asleep in during a Reiki treatment. A Reiki treatment will provide you with a relaxing and soothing healing that will calm the mind and clear away stress and other negative emotions. But Reiki is much more than just a relaxing treatment. It is a powerful healing modality which works on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Reiki helps treat a wide range of illnesses and emotional problems such as stress, depression, bereavement, back pain, ME, arthritis, sports injuries, broken bones, sciatica and cancer to name but a few.

Treatments are carried out at my therapy room in Hyde, Unit 7, 10 Corporation Street, Hyde SK14 1AB. If you are unable to travel please contact me about booking a home visit appointment.

Subject to availability, day time appointments may be available. Evening appointments are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7pm to 10pm. Weekend appointments are available Saturdays from 1.30pm to 6.30pm and Sunday appointments are only available prior to special arrangement.
